Visit Trilby Station for outback country hospitality and riverside accommodation.
With a range of quality farmstay accommodation and riverside camping facilities, Trilby Station offers a unique experience for the traveller looking for something different.
Staying with the Murray’s on their historic 7th generation, 320,000 acre sheep and goat station on the banks of the beautiful and iconic Darling River is described by many as the ultimate outback experience.
Liz is the Mastermind behind the accommodation side of things at Trilby Station, and in fact Gary has been heard to say his wife runs inside the levee bank while he and the boys manage the other 320,000 acres! It’s her passion and she enjoys creating a home away from home feel for her guests with station-stay accommodation such as the fully renovated Stockman’s Cottages and the Shearer’s Bunkhouse , allowing visitors to relish the picturesque Australian landscape while enjoying modern comforts of home.
For those travelling the outback with a caravan, you may choose one of their Powered Caravan Sites or alternatively a large waterfront campsite (no power) many of which are easily accessible to vans.
If riverside camping is your preference then you’ll love the secluded river campsites dotted among age-old river gums, some of the best Darling River camping there is.
Guests can self cater or enjoy a range of delicious Australian country-style meals such as Liz’s farmyard breakfasts and two or three-course dinners, all delivered to your farmstay accommodation or riverside camping location. Advance bookings are absolutely essential as it’s a 250km round trip to the shops!
Trilby Station, with a total of 14 bedrooms & 29 beds, is ideal for groups, small coach groups or as a conference venue with a difference. Liz also enjoys providing morning/afternoon teas and/or lunch and a walking tour to large groups looking for a short break in their journey.
For those doing a road trip or travelling by caravan, we know that you like to just wander and be foot loose and fancy-free. However, to avoid disappointment, we suggest you give us a call on 02 6874 7420 (between 8 am and 6 pm), send a text message to 0419 447 938 or use the contact form a day or two before your arrival in our area. This way we can save you unnecessary driving time by confirming we’ve got a spot for you.
Please note, we do have Telstra mobile phone coverage at Trilby Station, enabling visitors to easily keep in touch with family and friends, though it needs to be ‘proper’ Telstra, not that sold by Aldi and Belong. There is no WIFI.
