Two hours drive from Cobar (160km – approx. 65 km sealed), one and a half hours from Bourke (125Km – approx. 20km sealed), two and a half hours from Wilcannia (200km, unsealed) and 400km from Broken Hill on the Darling River Run. 4WD isn’t necessary but recommended due to the added ground clearance. Please check road conditions if there has been rain in the area. Unsealed roads are closed in the event of rain.

Getting to Trilby Station from either Wilcannia (south-west) or Louth (north east) is along the Darling River with the choice of going along the western or eastern side of the river. These roads are both similar – and neither is all weather. If there has been rain please check road conditions before heading off. Roads will close with rain – if the road to Trilby Station is closed, so are we!
Do Not use a GPS – directions to Trilby Station ARE NOT ACCURATE. Trilby Station is on the western side of the Darling River between Louth and Tilpa. There are bridges at both Louth and Tilpa. Our address is Trilby, 10965 Toorale Road Louth NSW 2840 … though the actual spot Google takes you could be approximately one km from our mailbox/billboard on the Toorale Road. Your navigation system may try to lead you through the paddocks to us, this is totally incorrect.
Please see attached map below for the correct route, highlighted in yellow.

Directions from Louth:
Cross the Darling River in the village on Weelong Road. Continue 3km and turn left at the T intersection (sign here says Trilby 19km) on to Toorale Road… After 19km turn left at our mailbox and large billboard and travel approx. 3km into the homestead and accommodation complex.
Directions from Tilpa:
Head west from Tilpa on the Tongo Road for 1.5 km. Turn right onto Toorale Rd at the T intersection towards Louth and continue along this road 66 m to our Trilby mailbox and large billboard. Ignore Google if it directs you to turn right at a very old mailbox. Continue another 1km on Toorale Rd to our large billboard and mailbox, on your right.
